A day in your life as an Accounting Software Manager:
Under direction of the Director, the Accounting Software Manager, leads and oversees the system integration and implementation services across multiple SAP applications and products to achieve strategic initiatives and financial goals and objectives.  Identifies new opportunities by keeping abreast in the latest financial and accounting technologies, analytics, and cloud solutions.  Acts as the liaison between the department and various segmentation initiatives.  Ensures timely and appropriate process implementation and solutions to aid the business in creating efficient and effective sales and service culture.  Ensures business units compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

  • Oversees the system integration and implementation services across multiple SAP applications, products and technologies.  Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, and debugging to support the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Works with business units and IT to plan, design, develop, implement and integrate software solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, workflow, and data integrity.
  • Organizes, facilitates, and documents meetings for system projects.  Compiles user and workflow requirements, facilitates user testing, troubleshoots user issues, implements new processes, creates user documentation/training and procedures, recommends user solutions or escalates the issue as appropriate.  Assists in the development, communication, implementation, and periodic review of data standards and policies.  Recommends changes to policies and procedures. 
  • Designs and develops application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system efficiency. Works with ERP/SAP client/server enterprise application. Runs system tests, troubleshoots, and debugs to ensure the operation of the system is meeting corporate needs.  Escalates issues to external vendors, as needed.
  • Provides general leadership to help establish and achieve division and corporate wide goals and objectives.  Collaborates with management to ensure projects align with corporate strategic initiatives across the company.  Provides software guidance and coordination support. Helps identify opportunities in financial and accounting technologies, analytic software, and cloud solutions. Provides data support for executive level inquiries.  
  • Manages staff and operations, as required to ensure service level quality standards and deadlines are met, proper regulatory and operational policies and procedures are followed, controls are exercised, and errors are corrected. Responsible for the management of all employees in the team including staffing, scheduling, compensation, performance management, training and development.  Goal is to attract retain and motivate the team to achieve management business objectives and a favorable employee relations climate.  Responsible for the timely and effective management People Services of forms and documents relevant to immediate staff.  Leads the team by inspiring engagement and increasing the capabilities of others to optimize business results.

if you come to us with these qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related area or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in finance, accounting, financial or accounting software, ERP/SAP applications or related field. 
  • Experience in project and vendor management.

Technical Skills: 
  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) or similar software.  
  • Knowledge of or ability to use bank software and systems. 
  • Requires working knowledge of SQL, ERP/SAP applications, Business Intelligence, Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint or similar software and internet applications, Business Objects, and other internal BOH systems preferred.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of management.  
  • Must be able to meet demanding deadlines and handle multiple priorities.  
  • Effective and efficient team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who can also resolve problems independently. 
  • Able to take direction but can work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Should be able to analyze complex situations quickly and identify solutions and alternatives. 
  • Must be flexible, able to work on multiple projects that may require restructuring due to shifting demands, unforeseen events and changing priorities. 
  • Able to work with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels.  
  • Must be people-oriented with commitment to delivering high customer satisfaction and quality results.  
  • Must demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills required to execute and implement projects on time.
