A day in your life as a Content Marketing Writer/Editor:

Under the direction of the Content and Community Programs Manager, this position coordinates the daily editorial operations of the corporate content marketing program and is a key contributor to the blog. This is a role for a proficient and remarkable writer skilled at connecting with audiences through the art of storytelling. A champion of amazing content, this individual also serves as the guardian of voice, quality standards, editorial guidelines, and content strategy. I applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

  • Authors captivating, inspirational, informative, insightful, and educational content that connects with target audiences and compels them to engage and learn more. Accountable for content creation, from outline to publishing, in collaboration with other writers, editors, business units, managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates editorial operations for the content marketing program, including administration of the content calendar and editorial review workflow. Determined to publish quality content, with a critical eye for purpose, structure, voice, and tone. Conducts results analysis and produces insights and recommendations for management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including supporting priorities within and outside the department, and serving on internal and external committees as a liaison as necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience in Journalism, Communications, PR, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.


  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of professional writing and/or editing experience. 
  • 2 years of professional writing, editing and/or management experience for a content marketing program or equivalent work experience preferred. 
  • Experience contributing to and/or managing a social media program and growing social media audiences preferred. 
  • Graphic design and/or video production experience preferred.

Technical Skills: 

  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or similar software. 
  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe CS applications or equivalent graphics applications preferred.

Other Job Qualifications: 

  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand content consumption among target audiences. 
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work and manage multiple projects effectively in a rapidly changing environment. 
  • Able to apply market insights and information to build compelling, innovative and high value products, services and experiences with strong communication, presentation, writing and editing skills.  
  • Team player with the ability to resolve problems and build and maintain relationships with all levels of management/employees, key stakeholders and clients. 
  • Must be self-motivated and able and willing to take initiative. 
  • Able to provide own transportation and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned.   
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move boxes up to 15 – 20 pounds.
