A day in your life as a Deposit Product and Process Manager:
Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for various aspects of deposit product management and the development, change and review of operational processes impacting quality, control and management of operating risk, compliance and legal requirements for the Retail Deposits group and. This role helps to implement strategies for deposit products and related products and services, including but not limited to product design, pricing, sales, marketing, compliance, technology integration, and customer service.  Responsible for all assigned deposit and deposit-related products and services (consumer and business), project management, operational enhancements, new product launches and modifications, pricing changes, product positioning and compliance and risk monitoring.  Assists in business units compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

  • Responsible for the overall quality assurance analytics & process development, maintenance and improvement. Performs compliance and process evaluations and monitoring for high risk controls in group. Works with internal partners to implement projects surrounding process improvements, controls and operational efficiency. Documents, coordinates, and communicates all activities.  
  • Manages divisions compliance requirements, including but not limited to compliance monitoring, Quality Assurance Reviews, SOX reviews, as well as operational, financial, model risk.  Oversees the standard procedure manuals (SPMs) and other documentations to execute the business.  Spearheads the review and changes of such documents to align with respective laws and regulations, Bank policies and procedures, and department requirements.   
  • Supports and enables deposit product strategies.  Helps create new products and/ or modifies existing products in line with business plan and market needs.  Implements marketing plans to retain market penetration, drive business growth and meet business targets.  Works in collaboration with key partners to develop products and strategies to market programs and independently conduct reviews on market trend and competitor activities to identify opportunities.  Assists in developing new product ideas and ongoing features/benefits tailored for each target segment.
  • Manages customer relations by monitoring client satisfaction and customer complaints. Provides regular reviews and evaluations of issue resolution matters for quality program and product improvements as needed.  Develops materials to train and develop frontline staff and other stakeholder groups on products and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Provides all aspects of system support with direct oversight over system upgrades, conversions and enhancements, as well as new products and product improvements. Executes requirements to support business, including but not limited to all aspects of vendor management.

Education:  
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.  
  • Marketing or related major, financial and trend analysis knowledge preferred.

Experience: 
  • Project management and implementation and marketing experience preferred.
  • Minimum five years of product management experience, banking preferred; marketing experience; banking experience with product/service focus; or related work experience.

Technical Skills:  
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) or similar software.  
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.

Other Qualifications:  
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to draw appropriate conclusions from the data, summarize information and present logical recommendations to manage customer relations and market current and new products.  
  • Demonstrated marketing skills.  
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with ability to express information and ideas clearly and concisely.  
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.  
  • Must be able to provide own transportation and ability to commute as required.  
  • Travels by air as required.
