A day in your life as a Digital Banking Officer...
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, this position serves as the ambassador for twenty-first century banking advancements by educating, training and guiding existing and prospective clients and branch employees. The primary duties include managing lobby traffic to maximize customer satisfaction; successfully migrating bank clients to the appropriate delivery channels; providing clients with product and service information; profiling and referring clients/prospects to the appropriate product/service area. If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act. In addition, this position is also responsible for conducting sales and relationship management activities utilizing Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) disciplines and behaviors.

We’ll give you these important responsibilities…
Manages overall branch client experience. This includes, but not limited to: providing exceptional customer service to existing customers and prospects, managing flow of lobby, directing customers to most appropriate area for servicing, assessing and fulfilling client needs, handling and defusing complaints and concerns generated from customers, and escalating unfulfilled client concerns to the appropriate branch or department.

Proactively engages existing and prospective clients to understand and interact with twenty-first century banking advancements by demonstrating transactions using technology, creating an interest and handling objections. Actively sells financial services including referrals to cross-functional units as appropriate. Provides high level of quality service to customers.

Works closely with branch team to provide support and training with new enhancements, capabilities and processes such as but not limited to Easy Deposit ATMs, new account opening and 10-Minute Check-up. Cross-trains and develops skills of the branch employees.

Maintains and sells financial services to clientele by addressing both long-term and short-term goals through profiling. Identifies customer needs, maintains extensive knowledge of products and services, cross-sells, opens new accounts, calls on prospects and performs teleconsulting.

Responsible for keeping informed of current bank policies, procedures, federal laws and regulations as well as maintains strong knowledge of all new products, programs and sales promotions.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT:  Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry.  If not yet registered, registration to be completed and accepted no later than 30 days from employment or transfer date.  If not registered and accepted, employment may be terminated.

High school diploma; G.E.D. or equivalent work experience.

 3  years of experience in consumer sales, marketing and customer service.

Demonstrated success in sales environment.

2 years of teller experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of personal finance including investments, insurance, mortgage, etc.

Ability to use a personal computer and is proficient on Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word ,Excel, and Access or similar relational database product.  Demonstrated typing skills by sight.

Demonstrated verbal communication, sales, marketing and service skills, which meet Bank of Hawaii’s established standards.  Must be able to provide own transportation and ability to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required.  Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned.  May be required to stand for extensive periods of time.  Must be able to push/lift 30 lbs.
