Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager

Is digital storytelling your passion? Are you as inspired by the message as you are the medium? We are looking for an experienced and innovative Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager. Reporting to our SVP of Marketing Operations, this role is creative meets data. The digital marketing leader will direct and execute digital marketing initiatives leveraging industry best practices, past performance and consumer insights. You will manage a team of high-performing marketing specialists, lead social media and content marketing strategy, and our performance marketing campaigns. The right candidate will have a high level of energy, creativity, and attention to detail combined with a thorough understanding of digital content, digital media, and social marketing strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and implementation of strategic digital marketing plans to support new customer acquisition, customer retention, and other corporate objectives
  • Develop and support the growth of Bank of Hawaii through digital marketing, including: paid social advertising, search engine marketing and optimization, content marketing and social media marketing
  • Lead the paid digital media teams to develop effective digital strategies and channel plans and drive digital optimization via test and control techniques and take advantage of digital tools for tracking performance
  • Lead overall social content programming strategy, including curation and distribution of articles, and video on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social networks
  • Develop campaign and brand strategies across digital channels for product and brand initiatives and partner with cross-functional teams on campaign development
  • Collaborate with marketing leads to understand the business goals, strategies, and product insights to inform the development of strategic plans and roadmap for digital channels
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with creative partners and the lead production of compelling and effective channel-first digital content
  • Develop and execute an end-to-end social experience that maps to high-level business goals
  • Design and develop digital-first, mobile-first content libraries that can be adapted across all consumer touchpoints, from digital campaign content to social media and use across our business
  • Establish solid working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure integrated, well-coordinated communication and marketing plan implementation
  • Define and deliver robust measurement plans for organizational leadership and stakeholders on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Build a team and culture that is constantly monitoring trends, testing new channels and ideas, and helping all key stakeholders understand what is working and why

 


Qualifications

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years managing social media, at least 2 years supervisory, managerial, or leadership experience at an agency, consultancy, consumer product company or media company
  • Experience managing a departmental budget
  • Demonstrated track record transforming social media into a strategic, brand and revenue generating channel
  • Strong experience in content strategy and production, either in-house or with an agency
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • You understand that your role is to provide strategic direction, not have tactical control
  • You have experience working cross-functionally to influence change
  • Youre a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and able to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, and blogging
