A day in your life as a Marketing and Communications Administrator:

Under the direction of the Brand, Advertising, and Promotions Manager, this position is responsible for developing, leading, tracking and executing the brand, advertising, and promotional projects. Marketing projects to include all disciplines of marketing including but not limited to brand, advertising, promotions, merchandising, collateral, digital and online marketing. Key responsibilities include project management, strategic and creative development, deployment and delivery of marketing pieces, vendor management and direction, budgeting and tracking, and post-analysis.  Manages projects, working with multiple marketing agencies, printers, designers, internal service providers and other vendors to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.  Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

  • Administers and assists with the management of the creative development, production, deployment and delivery of less complex marketing communication pieces. Participates in the development of marketing and communication strategies that enhance the brand, generate awareness and sales of products/services, and optimize client experience to enhance engagement and drive revenue. Marketing projects to include all disciplines of marketing including, but not limited to, brand, advertising, promotions, collateral, merchandising and digital and online marketing. Originates and leads projects through meetings with lines of business and product managers, and provides ongoing project management through all phases of production with both external vendors such as agencies, copywriters, and designers, as well as internal partners and cross-functional teams. Ensures quality control of final products. Provides regular updates to Manager or more senior Project Administrator(s).  Asks for guidance as necessary.
  • Assists with maintaining the bank’s tangible brand standards and communicates those standards to a diverse audience.  Project manages the development of marketing materials in multi-media platforms and ensures delivery of final layout for production based on company’s brand visual language standards.  Supports project management by planning, gathering information and obtaining various approvals.  These projects primarily include, but are not limited to: presentations, collateral materials, sales tools, advertisements, signage, corporate identity materials, project proposals, and packaging.
  • Works with Manager to establish the annual budget, requests estimates and tracks invoices by vendor/purchase order (PO) and project/Cost Center, updates and reviews monthly spending reports by vendor/PO and project/Cost Center, provides monthly forecasts and variance narratives to manager, and submits quarterly performance highlights to manager.
  • Assists with promotion and advertising sponsorships and events managed by the department.
  • Assists with maintaining the brand association programs, including, but not limited to, logo attire, branded retail merchandise, and other brand enhancing products/services.  Ensures non-traditional point-of-sale strategies, off-premise merchandising, and merchandising on electronic delivery channels (e.g.: ATMs, IVRs) is appropriately integrated into the brand and advertising strategies.
  • Assists with maintaining the brand logo merchandise. Responsibilities include the online store system, vendor relationship, accounting tracking and reporting, inventory management, customer service and ordering, delivery, and item presentation. Communicates and recommends options for executives and relationship officers.

 

 


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution with major in marketing, communications or other related field of study or equivalent work experience. 
  • Some coursework in marketing, advertising or design strongly preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum one to two years of experience in brand management, marketing, advertising, public relations, or project management in a creative field, or a mix thereof. 
  • Requires proven experience and understanding of brand management and marketing strategies. 
  • Must demonstrate ability to manage and direct creative projects with little subject area training/experience and supervision. 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, FrontPage and PowerPoint) or similar software.
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
  • Must demonstrate at least intermediate skills in industry-standard layout, photo editing and illustration software.

 

Other Job Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrates excellent communication (both verbal and written), presentation, inter-personal and analytic skills. 
  • Must be able to work with senior and executive management.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships/partnerships with a strong collaborative approach. 
  • Must be able to work with all levels of management.
  • Possesses superior project management and organizational skills, as well as leadership ability. 
  • Have demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Must also demonstrate diplomacy and tact.
  • Able to provide own transportation and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner. 
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned. 
  • Able to lift, carry, and move boxes up to 15 – 20 pounds.
