A day in your life as a Performance Measurement Analyst
Under the general direction of the department manager, interfaces and works with vendor(s) to assure the integrity of the performance system, system interfaces and reporting. Assures that performance calculations and reporting comply with applicable laws, regulations, industry best practices and Bank policies and procedures. Assists in the business units compliance with applicable laws, regulations regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

Well give you these important responsibilities
Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications to drive system development and implementation. Works with vendor in daily management of the performance measurement system, reconciliation of out of balance accounts, updating custom benchmarks, report packages and disclosures. Troubleshoots system interface problems. Assists in the reload and periodic ad hoc loads of information to the performance measurement system. Tests system upgrades before implementation.
Prepares and analyzes performance reports. Identifies performance outliers for investment reviews. Prepares portfolio characteristics reports and other reports and analyses as assigned.
Works closely with Compliance Officers to ensure current applications, processes, procedures, documentation and disclosures meet standards as required or recommended by Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Global Investment Performance Standards and Bank of Hawaii.
Communicates, resolves and responds to internal inquiries verbally and in writing. Helps with training and troubleshooting for internal employees regarding matters related to the performance reporting system. Helps internal employees with understanding and explaining account performance.
Reviews and analyzes processes and solutions to identify system enhancements and/or areas for improvement. Assists with the implementation of process modifications.


Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience in accounting, finance or related field
Minimum 3 4 years of business related experience
Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access) or similar software
Understanding of database applications, performance measurement and trading calculations/systems
Effective communication skills and ability to process requests in a timely manner
Strong Computer skills
Ability to work under pressure
Strong quantitative reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills, good interpersonal and communication skills and extreme detail orientation and commitment to meeting identified quality standards
Familiarity with Morningstar and / or Bloomberg is a plus
