A day in your life as a Strategic Analyst:
Under direction of the Strategy Analytics Manager, this position is responsible for:
Supporting the development and execution of performance tracking reports.
Conducting data analysis to support bank strategy
Sharing key information and data findings with stakeholders.
Promoting the bank’s analytics culture and knowledge sharing.
Assisting in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.  

We’ll give you these important responsibilities…
  • Supports the execution and development of performance tracking reports.
Speaks with business managers to obtain their business context and understand their reporting needs.
Accurately queries, compiles, and organizes data to clearly convey the information reported.
Communicates recurring processes and seeks guidance on automation options.
Understands the purpose of each report and identifies when reporting may not be achieving its intended goals.
Identifies and notes key trends with report delivery.
  • Conducts and presents data analysis to support bank strategy.
Speaks with other analysts to understand the strategic context of incoming analysis requests and how they meet business needs.
Follows data collection methods to accurately query and (with guidance) validate the bank data needed for analyses.
Accurately processes and summarizes less complex data, with guidance as needed.
Validates the summarized data and understands the general trends, with limited guidance.
Presents the summary and general trends, with guidance.
  • Supports Analytics Development and Culture.
Maintains awareness of known data quality and documentation concerns.
Displays a desire to improve upon analytics skill set.
Engages in the bank’s information and analytics culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in quantitative field or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience in a professional environment; exposure to data analysis preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software. 
  • Ability to learn to use other software and applications as needed

Other Job Qualifications:
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Proactive and takes initiative.
  • Detail-oriented and conscientious. Clear communication skills.
  • Desire for continual professional development, especially of analytic skills.
  • Able to occasionally work flexible hours as needed.
