Essential Job Duties
Following the Department of Transportation safety specifications
performs pre-delivery trip checks.
Drives a tank truck & trailer or tractor/ trailer to customer's location,
connects hose to tank and opens valves, reads gauges, record
amounts delivered and leaves delivery ticket receipt with customer.
Establishes/maintains good customer service and rapport while
handling customer's questions or schedules.
Follows, maintains and adheres to all safety rules and regulations
for ships, loading docks, customer premises, traffic laws, rules and
Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
Experience / Knowledge / License Requirements
Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Type A with TX
At least three years of experience as a professional truck driver.
Petroleum experience desired.
A clean driving abstract for the last five years.
General mechanical knowledge and skills.
A working knowledge of math and chemistry is required. Must be
able to perform routine mathematical calculations.
Must be available to work overtime as needed and be able to
commit to DOT "Hours of Service" with Par Hawaii.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
Good communication skills, ability to work with deadlines,
organizational ability and problem solving.
Ability to work in difficult conditions and with situations that involve
customers, operations and emergencies.
