Essential Job Duties
• Following the Department of Transportation safety specifications
performs pre-delivery trip checks.
• Drives a tank truck & trailer or tractor/ trailer to customer's location,
connects hose to tank and opens valves, reads gauges, record
amounts delivered and leaves delivery ticket receipt with customer.
• Establishes/maintains good customer service and rapport while
handling customer's questions or schedules.
• Follows, maintains and adheres to all safety rules and regulations
for ships, loading docks, customer premises, traffic laws, rules and
DOT regulations.
Education
• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
Experience / Knowledge / License Requirements
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Type A with TX
endorsements.
• At least three years of experience as a professional truck driver.
Petroleum experience desired.
• A clean driving abstract for the last five years.
• General mechanical knowledge and skills.
• A working knowledge of math and chemistry is required. Must be
able to perform routine mathematical calculations.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed and be able to
commit to DOT "Hours of Service" with Par Hawaii.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
• Good communication skills, ability to work with deadlines,
organizational ability and problem solving.
• Ability to work in difficult conditions and with situations that involve
customers, operations and emergencies.
